All Red Everything — AGAIN!

Updated: Feb 7, 2020

Such a fine color, really…

Good morning loyal Painkillers, and welcome back to another addition of Anime Wednesday! Today I’m going to bring you something, that for some reason I just never got around to writing about. It wasn’t like I was holding it back or something, just never got to it. So, it seems like a good time to bring it up now. So without further delay, here is Trigun.

This show follows the adventures of the main character Vash the Stampede, aka “The Humanoid Typhoon”. He is a gunslinger that doesn’t want to kill another human, living in a steampunk/western world. Wait, how does that work? Anyway, he is follow around by Milly Thomson and Meryl Stryfe, two insurance agents that are in charge of trying to minimize the damage that is caused by Vash just being in any town. Well, what do you really expect, he has a $60 billion double dollar bounty on his head?

Apparently, a while back, Vash was in the city of July, and completely destroyed the city. Because of this that huge bounty was put on his head. Unfortunately, Vash doesn’t remember the incident, due to dealing with retrograde amnesia. Just because he doesn’t remember what he did, doesn’t mean that every outlaw, assassin, and anyone brave/dumb enough to try to cash in on that bounty.

This show is great! The comedy in the show really works , since Vash tries to hide who he is everywhere he goes. As the series goes on, Vash starts to slowly remembers what happened in July. The show is 26 episodes long, so it is easily bingable over a weekend. It kinda reminded me of Cowboy Bebop a little, so if you enjoyed that, then you should like this. You can watch the series on Hulu, or you can buy the complete series here on DVD. Until next time Painkillers.

Captain Pain approves this post!!!
