Bison’s Ass Is Mine!

Updated: Feb 7, 2020

Hadouken you stand him?

Good morning my loyal Painkillers! Its been a while, but Saturday Morning Cinema has finally returned! Did you miss it? I know that you did! So anyway, let’s get right into this classic. Here is Street Fighter 2: The Animated Movie.

This movie was released in 1994 in Japan, and 1996 in the USA. It is based on the video game with the same name. M. Bison, the leader of the notorious crime syndicate Shadaloo, is searching for top street fighters to join their ranks. One in particular, Ryu, who defeated Sagat a few years ago. They send out a bunch of monitoring cyborgs to find Ryu, and others to join their cause.

In an effort to bring down Bison and Shadaloo, Interpol agent Chun-Li teams up with US Air Force Captain Guile, to stop them. They both are out for revenge, since Bison killed Guile’s best friend, and he killed Chun-Li’s father as well. Does Bison find Ryu, and does he join Shadaloo? Are Chun-Li and Guile able to bring down Bison? Well, the only way to find out is to watch this movie for yourself.

This is a great movie! It stays close to the storylines from the game as best as possible. The only bad thing about this movie is that after the end credits, text pops up on the screen, informing us that the God awful live action Street Fighter movie staring Jean-Cladue Van Damme and Raul Julia is currently being made in Hollywood. Ugh! Anyway, when I went to watch this, it was free on Amazon Prime Video, it might not be by the time you are reading this. Hopefully, it will still be on Crackle. If not just buy it here! Until next time everyone!
