Down The Rabbit Hole We Go!
Updated: Feb 7
Happy Independence Day for my Painkillers in the United States, and welcome all Painkillers from around the world. Thank you all for coming to check out the first article in Inuyasha month. Hopefully this all goes well, and I could do something like this again down the line. Well, let’s not waste any more time, and get right into it. So, here it is, Inuyasha movie one, Affections Touching Across Time.
500 years ago, Inuyasha’s father Toga (yes, I know there is some controversy surrounding the true name of his father, but 1, this was the name I wrote down when doing my research, and 2, if I spend the time writing about the father, it would take up so much time, that I would never get through this movie, and none of the others, so for now Toga it is!) defeated a very powerful Moth Demon named Hyoga. Why is this important you may ask? Well, that’s because when the Shikon jewel breaks into pieces, a shard lands in the remains of Hyoga’s son Menomaru. The shard revives him, and he then revives his servants Ruri and Hari. Their plan is avenge the death of Hyoga, by killing Toga’s son’s Sesshomaru and Inuyasha.
Ruri and Hari encounter Sesshomaru first, and let’s face it, those who are fans of the show, already know that this encounter didn’t go well for them. They next encountered with Inuyasha and friends. During the fight, Ruri was able to copy wind tunnel technique from Miroku, Hari was able to possess Kirara, and Menomaru put a spell on and kidnapps Kagome. Will Inuyasha and friends be able to rescue Kirara and Kagome? Will Menomaru and his followers be successful in their plans for revenge? Well, get the movie and find out for yourself, cause I’m not going to tell you.
For those that have watched the series before, this movie supposedly takes place between episodes 54 and 55. This is a really good movie, due to the fact that it feels like a long espisode. And yes, I can probably say that with all of the movies, but we shall see when I get there. This movie was well received by the fans. If you haven’t seen this before, or it has been a while since you seen it, go check it out on Netflix and let me know in the comments what you think. Come back next week, and dive into the second movie with me. Until next time!
