The hits just keep on coming! Any Disk Jockey
Hello there, Half-Baked buds! Distilla here with your June release radar. Let’s get to it!
First up for PS4: The Sinking City
The Sinking City is an adventure and investigation game set in an open world inspired by the universe of H.P. Lovecraft. You play the role of Charles W. Reed, a war vet and private investigator who suffers from post-traumatic psychosis. Your search for a cure leads you to the fictional town of Oakmont, Massachusetts, which has recently been ravaged by a flood with no real explanation. To find answers for your rapidly developing insanity, you must first solve the mysteries of Oakmont. With plenty of sleuthing to be done, this makes for some pretty immersive gameplay. The Sinking City is set for release June 27th, 2019
Up next for Xbox One: Biomutant
Biomutant is a third-person action RPG with melee, shooting, and mutant powers. It has branching storylines, so any decisions you make will decide how the story will continue. First thing you get to do is customize your character, a racoon-esque creature. How you tweak your character has a direct impact on the statistics of said character during gameplay. Set in an imaginative post-apocalyptic universe, it’s a kung fu fable filled with awesome creatures to discover, dangerous factions to navigate, and colorful worlds to explore. No exact release date, but projected for mid-year release, so be on the lookout!
Lastly, for the Nintendo Switch: Super Mario Maker 2
Super Mario Maker 2 is a side-scrolling platform video game in which you can create the course of your dreams! Or your nightmares.. And publish them over the internet for others to enjoy. With tons of audio and visual customizations, the sky’s the limit with what you can create. The game also introduces local and online co-op modes, including co-op making, where up to 2 players can create stages together at the same time. There is also a story mode where you, as Mario, help to rebuild Princess Peach’s castle. Rebuilding takes coins, but with over 100 levels and NPC’s with extra tasks along the way, earning them won’t be a problem. Super Mario Maker 2 is set for release June 28th, 2019
Well, that’s gonna do it for this month’s release radar.
