Rapping Aliens From Outer Space
Updated: Feb 7, 2020
Toes jammed. Earls… Earled.
Good morning Painkillers, and welcome to another addition of Grab A Buddy Monday. Today we are going to talk about a very cool game, that I’m glad that I went back and played this game so I can talk about it. So then let’s get into it. It’s time to grab your buddy, hook up your Sega Genesis/Master System, and let’s play some ToeJam And Earl.
Hitting consoles in 1991, ToeJam and Earl is a dungeon crawl, action adventure game. You play as either ToeJam, a three legged red alien that wears a large medallion, and a backwards baseball cap, and Earl, a fat orange alien that wears shorts, high tops, and oversized sunglasses. They are rappers, and their style and slag are from the late 80’s – early 90’s Hip Hop community.
The plot of the game is, that Earl has crashed their spaceship on Earth. Pieces of the ship are now scattered around, and it’s up to you to control the guys, to find all of the pieces of the ship, and get off of Earth.
This game is loads of fun. You and you buddy controls the guys as you make your way through Earth, hitting enemies with tomatoes, and finding all the parts of the spaceship, so ToeJam and Earl can make their way back to their home planet of Funkotron. Out of all of the GABM I have done so far, this truly is a buddy game that all friends will enjoy playing together. Enjoy, and have fun everyone.
All hail the wiener!
