Ruining Friendships Faster Than Monopoly!

Updated: Feb 7, 2020

Let’s build a rainbow– and together, destroy it!

Good morning my loyal Painkillers, and welcome back to another addition of Grab A Buddy Monday. Today we are going back to the land of the the Nintendo 64 (since I was told that I don’t give Nintendo much love). Last time I talked about the original Super Smash Bros game, and today I will bring you the first game in another Nintendo franchise. So its time once again to grab three of your buddies(for those of you that have that many friends), hook up your N64, and lets play Mario Party.

This game was released in 1998 for the N64, and saw some of your favorite Mario characters in a different light. The game plays as a board game filled with mini games. Each player chooses a character ( Mario, Wario, Luigi, Princess Peach, Yoshi, and Donkey Kong), and they go around the board, trying to collect coins, avoid traps, and not loose coins. After each round a mini game is played, where players can win or loose coins depening on what the rules are for that mini game. Once a player has enough coins, they can try to land on the star space and buy a star. The player with the most stars wins.

There is not a lot that I can say about this game. It is really good. If you have played other games from this franchise, you will notice that this game is no where near the level of screwing tour friends over to win like the larer games have become. If you are a fan of this franchise, and have never played this game before, I highly suggest you playing this game. Can’t find a copy, just get it here via Amazon. Until next time Painkillers!
